15th Mentorship Program
On 23rd January 2021, DOGA Membership Sub-committee hosted the kickoff for the 15th Mentorship Program on Zoom with over 100 mentors and mentees attended. Although the meeting was held virtually due to the pandemic, there were many fruitful exchanges during the small group breakout sessions. One of the highlights at the event was the sharing session by Ginny Ng, an old girl who was once a mentee and became a mentor this year. She spoke about her takeaways over the years with her mentors and how she could give back to both the program and the younger DGS girls. The Sub-committee and program leaders were thankful for the astounding responses and the number of old girls who participated.
The program matched 86 pairs of mentors and mentees, and some mentors were paired up with more than one mentee. Medicine, Legal and Banking & Finance continue to be the most popular disciplines which represented over 60% of the matched pool. There is also increasing interest in Management Consulting and Architecture.
