Food-Saving Shopping Activity
Twenty alumnae and their children participated in an eye-opening food-saving workshop with People Service Centre on November 8, 2025, organized by the Community Service Subcommittee.
Guided by local residents, participants experienced the challenges of preparing a family meal of three dishes and a soup on a tight budget of just HK$30 at the wet market. Subsequently, participants were welcomed into the subdivided units and toured the neighbourhood, where heartfelt conversations offered rare insights into the daily realities of underprivileged families. Through this meaningful event, participants gained deeper understanding of poverty and housing inequality in Hong Kong, fostering greater empathy and social awareness in our community.
