Polyfoam Recycling Event
On 14th October 2023, the DOGA Community Service Subcommittee, joined by a dedicated group of old girls and their families, gathered at the warehouse of Missing Link - Polyfoam Recycling in Tsuen Wan.
They ventured to a nearby wet market and saw heaps of discarded fruit wrappings, a stark reminder of the pressing need for sustainable practices. The participants collected the discarded fruit wrappings and polyfoam trays back to the warehouse where they manually sorted the items, distinguishing between different types of plastic and removing any contaminants. They then witnessed how the machinery processed the polyfoam for recycling. It was an insightful event showing their commitment to sustainability and contribution to the community.
