Eye Care Online Seminar

On 18th May 2021, the Social Subcommittee had the honor to invite Dr. Jason Yam to share about "How to Prevent Myopia in Your Children". Dr. Yam is Associate Professor and Undergraduate Division Head at the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences of CUHK, Head of Paediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus Service at the Hong Kong Eye Hospital, as well as Head of Ophthalmology Service at the Hong Kong Children's Hospital. We were also pleased to have alumnae Monique Tse as host and Ophthalmologist Dr. Gillian Siu as moderator for the zoom talk.

The engaging and informative session was well attended by 37 alumnae. The event came at an opportune time as Dr. Yam shared valuable advice on preventive approaches of myopia at a young age which concerned many parents, especially during the pandemic when children attended school mostly via virtual classes. The seminar was well concluded with an active Q&A session.
