DOGA Community Service Event: Soap Cycling

Have you ever wondered what happens to the soap left behind at hotels?

Do you know that over two million bars of soaps are thrown away by hotels in Hong Kong every year? Yet, thousands of children are deprived from this basic hygiene tool and they die from diseases that can be largely prevented simply by washing with soap.

You can now play a part in improving the access to sanitation in some of Asia's poorer regions, and eliminate thousands of pounds of chemical waste from our landfills.

Join us at Soap Cycling where we will help "recycle" used hotel soaps, and re-distribute this invaluable but otherwise wasted resource to save the lives of thousands of disadvantaged children.

Date: 11 September, 2021 (Saturday)

Time: 10 a.m. -11:45 a.m.

Venue: World Peace Centre, Kwai Chung (10 mins walk from Kwai Hing MTR Station)

Suggested donation: HK$200 (to cover the charity's basic cleaning expenses)
