Membership Sub-Committee Interest Group Networking Events

DOGA Legal Group held its inaugural networking event on 24th June. It was an occasion where alumnae working in different legal professions from the class of 1981 to 2016 had the unique opportunity to get in touch with one another amidst a relaxing atmosphere at the Red Bar and Restaurant in Central. Students from both local and overseas universities responded enthusiastically to what turned to be a successful event; attendance was well above expectations with over 30 participants. In the end, it was the diverse nature of our alumnae in terms of sector-speciality and level of experience which garnered particular praises from the participants.

DOGA Finance Career Interest Group also held its first formal networking drinks event on 8th June at the Hong Kong University Alumni Association Clubhouse in Central. The gathering provided a great platform for our alumnae in the fields of Finance and Business to exchange professional experiences and to get to know each other. We had an overwhelming response with a very good turnout of over 40 girls. It was a great opportunity for our Finance alumnae to chat and connect over drinks in a relaxed yet buzzing atmosphere. Girls who attended spanned a wide spectrum of class years from the 1970s through to 2016, representing professionals from a wide variety of financial fields including banking, asset management, insurance, accounting, marketing, research, risk management, compliance, regulatory body and even recruitment consulting. We had excellent response from our undergraduates attending Hong Kong University, Chinese University, HKUST as well as overseas universities such as Cambridge, London School of Economics, University of Edinburgh, Warwick, Boston, Chicago and New South Wales to name but a few.
