Hong Kong Adventure Corps Flag Day 2014

The Hong Kong Adventure Corps (HKAC) Flag Day successfully took place on Saturday, 25th October, 2014 in Tsim Sha Tsui. This was our 12th year running of this flag-selling event. It was a sunny day with over a dozen alumnae together with their children volunteered for the event. The children were extremely enthusiastic in selling their flags, and most of the passers-by from different ethnic groups were willing to make donations.

Funds raised through the event went towards cost of training and equipment for the HKAC, a voluntary uniformed youth group established in 1995. It is a charitable organisation which aims to help youths aged 12-18 to develop their character and leadership skills through training.

This meaningful Flag Day gave us, alumnae, the opportunity to continue our school motto of “Daily Giving Service”. In addition, it allows our young children who participated in the event to have a deeper understanding of the meaning behind this fundraising act, making contributions to our community.
