Easter Service Project with DGS Citizens Club

On 22nd April, the DOGA Community Services Sub-committee held a joint event with DGS Citizens Club which took place during the school Easter holiday at the Henry G Leong Yau Ma Tei Community Centre. A handful of our volunteers were joined by volunteers from the DGS Citizens Club. Our service target was a group of over 30 children from ethnic minorities aged between 6 - 12 years. There were a series of games, including an Easter egg hunt, biscuit decorating, as well as games to stimulate creativity and team work. It was intended to be an afternoon of fun for all, and all went away happy. Girls from the Citizens Club were not only appreciative of our service, but we also demonstrated that DOGA is a supportive group of alumnae that can be reached out to. Our sponsor of gifts for the children not only helped them financially, but was a good sharing session on good value buys and stockists (<$19/gift). We are extremely pleased with this collaboration and hope we could continue to seek opportunities to work together to help one another.
