Heep Hong Flag Day in April 2014

The DOGA Community Services Sub-committee was joined by over 40 alumnae and their children on Saturday, 12th April, for the annual Heep Hong Society Flag Day. All our little community service helpers worked extremely hard from 8:30am till noon. We continued to have our youngest participant at just over one year old, and it was already her second year of service! We were particularly surprised and indeed most honoured to be able to meet Ms Nancy Tsang, director of Heep Hong Society, as she went around visiting different flag selling sites. Everybody took away more than what they had come for. It was not just fun for the kids, but also a good opportunity to teach and demonstrate to them what community service is. As for the adults, the unique opportunity to be on the other side selling flags instead of being a passer-by was also an experience. Please come and join us next year! ractised for two months leading up to the 30th November, 2013 service. Under the guidance of Mrs. C. Chiang of DGS, 25 DOGA Graduate Singers sang praises with 19 DSOBA alumni on a number of melodious pieces, including the popular “Praise Ye The Lord Of Hosts” and “O Come To My Heart, Lord Jesus”.
