The Diocesan Old Girls' Association HK

It was indeed a night of sharing, fun and laughter at the Hong Kong Charriot Club with our guest speaker, Dr. Sarah Liao, Secretary for the Environment, Transport and Works (SETW) of the HKSAR who is also a former DGS girl. Fully subscribed and well attended by 50 of our alumnae, the event was a great success with lots of positive feedback.

In her casual inviting style, Dr. Liao began the evening by telling us about her old schooldays back then and shared with us the fun stories with her teachers and her classmates. We also got a glimpse of her personal family life as well as her daily work in various fields such as environmental protection, development of infrastructure, traffic management, public works, etc. Questions were eagerly asked by our old girls who took the opportunity to gain some advice and insight from a senior government official as well as a successful individual.

Overall we found Dr. Liao to be straightforward speaker and an enjoyable and entertaining person to be with. The evening was thoroughly enjoyed by all those who attended.
