We have pleasure in informing members of DOGA some of the achievements of the girls of DGJS and certain important events/activities of DGJS that occurred during the first quarter of 2001 as set out below:

 I.    School Activities

1.          To enhance the pupil’s environmental awareness and to promote green initiatives and environmental practices, DGJS continues the waste paper collection and recycling scheme in School.  In addition, DGJS also participated in “The Hong Kong Jockey Club Green Child Campaign”.  This Campaign encouraged girls of DGJS to use less plastic bags by supplying each girl with two environmental bags for shopping in supermarkets.  DGJS will also receive a number of small potted plants to be planted by the Gardening Club and each class to improve the ‘green’ environment.  Teachers were invited to attend a workshop to teach the girls on the production of organic fertilizers in DGJS for the plants.
